Pilates is a strength and flexibility workout.
Pilates places a heavy emphasis on breath work and creating a mind-body connection.
Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength ,and develops control and endurance in the entire body. Pilates puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core and improving coordination and balance. The core consisting of the muscles of the abdomen, lower back and hips is often called the powerhouse and is thought to be the key to a person's stability. Every level is welcome and modifications are prompted where needed to accommodate everybody's needs.
