Introduction to Somatic Yoga

Come join Amanda for the beginner’s breakdown of Somatic Movement. The history, philosophy and methodology of these techniques will be discussed as well as a gentle hour-long flow that will serve as a great starting point for an intentional somatic movement practice.

Somatics is a field within bodywork and  movement studies that emphasizes internal physical perception and experience. Neural pathways are strengthened by both symmetrical and asymmetrical movements that will aid in the release of muscular tension. Participants should expect to leave feeling relaxed and connected to themselves.

Bring your yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing.  All levels welcome!
